Faith in Action Ministry's tagline, "Doers of the Word," reflects our commitment to actively living out our faith. Our initial outreach initiatives are (1) supporting veterans, engaging with them in assisted living facilities, (2) offering solace to suicide survivors, and (3) providing Christian/Biblical counseling. As our Ministry grows, there will be other initiatives supporting everyday acts of faith. Our outreach fosters hope, healing, and spiritual growth. Agape Love is the foundation for these efforts.
What Makes Agape Love Ministry Different
"Your work produced by Faith, your Labor prompted by love..." 1 Thessalonians 1:3
This verse might be a good short description of the Ministry's efforts.
While there are many forms of Love - Agape Love is the highest level of Christian Love. It is the Love that Jesus has for mankind. Agape Love involves feeling so much Love for someone that you put them before yourself.
In the context of John 3:16, Agape Love refers to the unconditional, self-sacrificial Love God has for the world, which prompted Him to send His only Son, Jesus, that those who believe in Him might have eternal life. The Faith in Action Ministry is called to give this same Agape Love to others. God's amazing Love has been given to us, and we have the privilege of giving that Love to others through all the Ministry's initiatives.
How Agape Love Powers Our Community Outreach
The Faith in Action Ministry has shown strength and success because our members have specific skills and experiences in our target community initiatives. The big difference in our outreach ministry is while each member has specific skills and experiences in an initiative, Agape Love is the one factor that powers our efforts. It is not based on reciprocity or personal gain but on a desire to share and care for others.
The Faith in Action Ministry is a Hill Country ministry that is making a difference to people through compassionate outreach initiatives. Agape Love is the ministry's foundation and the common denominator of the members who unselfishly serve all the people they meet.
