Easter Sunday is a special day for on-fire believers and lukewarm believers alike. It reminds us that Jesus paid the price on the cross for our individual and collective sins. It reminds us that He was buried and, on this third day, conquered death once and for all! He is risen! What better day than today to begin a new life following the One who sits at the Father's right hand? Happy Resurrection Day from your brothers and sisters at Faith in Action Ministry, Hill Country, Texas!

He Is Risen! A New Life

Since this new website is about Christian ministries (i.e., being doers of the Word), it seems appropriate to encourage you to start (or recommit) to your own. For example:

  • Has God ever asked you to write for Him? Perhaps it was for a Christian blog, church newsletter, or social media campaign. If so, use the truth that He is risen as your call to action! Start writing today--whatever day today is--but don't procrastinate! Just barf on the page and let the Holy Spirit help you clean it up as you go! That's exactly how I am writing this post to you. :-)

  • Perhaps God has put it in your heart to teach a Sunday School Bible study, drive the church van, serve as a greeter, or help in the audio-visual department. If so, send that text message, email letter, or make the phone call with your enthusiastic "yes" to God's request.

  • Is God asking you to work with residents in nursing homes, patients in hospitals, the incarcerated, veterans, suicide survivors, or others who suffer in myriad ways? There is no mistaking this call from God. We are answering that call, and it is a blessing beyond description. Step out in faith with this one. You won't regret it!

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Then I said, "Here I am! Send me." Isaiah 6:8

Lukewarm to On-Fire Believer

Have you ever felt lukewarm in your faith, like most of us? If so, getting active is the best way to regain the fire. Do something. Get off the bench as a spectator on the mission field and become a starter for Team Jesus.

Will your friends and family think you've lost your mind? Probably! But you will come to your senses about what is true and what is an illusion. The enticements of the world are an illusion and lead to death. But following the truth along the narrow path leads you to your authentic destiny as an ambassador of Christ with a ministry that you are uniquely qualified to engage.

He is Risen! Now What?

Now what?

  • If you have an idea about God's call for your ministry, just go for it! Start or recommit to it today. You will bless others in immeasurable ways, and you'll be blessed yourself beyond your wildest dreams. No, I can't assure you of worldly riches, but God does promise Heavenly rewards that we can't comprehend.

  • Pray for wisdom and discernment if you don't know what God wants you to do. Then, just do something that you believe is needed! It doesn't need to be perfectly polished. It does need to come from your heart with love.

  • Want to collaborate on a ministry project? We are always open to working with others to expand and edify His Kingdom!

May God bless all your ministry endeavors. And always remember...He is risen!
