Greetings, friends! Welcome to Faith in Action Ministry for the Texas Hill Country! Most of us know what it’s like to sense God’s call to move forward—to trade spectating for participating. To get off the pews and take action! His invitation may come with clear instructions, like how to build an ark. Other times, it’s more like a race—you may not know your exact role yet, but He’s calling you to get in motion, trusting that He’ll direct your path along the way.

Imagine the cyclists in a triathlon—they have a passion for their sport. They are committed to the journey ahead. Faith in Action is just like that—God may reposition you, shifting you from defense to offense, but it all starts with movement. GO FOR IT! Step into the race, and let Him guide your pace.

I invite you to join us in answering the 'why,' 'what,' 'how,' and 'when' questions for Faith in Action Ministry. Perhaps our meeting right now, in this very moment, is a Divine Appointment.

Cyclists in helmets race along a tree-lined street under a clear sky. They wear athletic gear, conveying speed and focus.
Go for it! Be a Doer of the Word

"Why" Faith in Action Ministry?

No matter where we are on our Christian walk, from new believer to seasoned ambassador, we are all reminded, "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves" (James 1:22). I've felt the call to be a player on the field instead of a bench-warmer on the sidelines many times in my walk with Christ, most recently with Faith in Action Ministry in Kerrville, Texas.

It's important to remember that you and I, as servant-ambassadors, are not the questioners of God. We aren't asking God, "Why are you asking me to do Your work on earth?" Instead, we are the ones who must respond to God's question(s) with a reason--a why--for our willingness to get off the pews and into the game.

Our "why"-- our reason--is simply that God is asking us. We don't need to complicate it. We don't need to rationalize why we can't do it. We know we can't do it alone. But if Jesus tells us, "...The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few" Matthew 9:37 (NKJV), we can be confident that we will receive Holy Spirit power on the field!

Let me tell you now about our current fields of focus for Faith in Action Ministry in the Texas Hill Country.

"What" is Faith in Action Ministry's Focus?

Our focus will always be subject to change based on God's call. However, our current focus involves weekly outreach to nursing home residents and veterans.

We are also gearing up for outreach visits to our incarcerated population in the Texas Hill Country, beginning in Kerrville and Fredericksburg. And, we are preparing for our first series of support group sessions for suicide survivors (that is, people who have survived the death of a friend or loved one to suicide).

If you're wondering about the deeper purpose behind our ministry, read about my spiritual awakening journey in "Why Are We Here?" For those ready to move from lukewarm faith to passionate discipleship, discover what it means to be truly risen with Christ. And if you're prepared to make a bold commitment, join the Fellowship of the Unashamed.

Our outreach work includes hope and healing for suicide survivors, showing how faith transforms pain into purpose.

How Can Faith in Action Ministry Help?

In addition to our primary outreach efforts mentioned above, we can also help with the following:

  • Prayer;

  • Bottled water donation;

  • Presentations related to suicide survivors;

  • Presentations related to the bridge between secular mental health and Christian well-being;

  • Christian/Bible-Based Counseling Services (Individual and Group);

  • Interdenominational collaborations;

  • Have a request? Maybe we can help!

When is FaithInActionMinistry.com Updated?

We intend to update the website weekly. Specifically, here's what you can expect:

  • Weekly blog post (three posts-minimum);

  • Update on outreach ministry work and progress updates.

  • Upcoming events and collaborations;

  • Links to other outreach ministries and their work;

  • Spotlight on God's work through Christian-owned businesses;

  • Other information of interest to our Christian (and "seeker") audience.

Thanks from the Team at Faith in Action Ministry, Texas Hill Country! May God bless you and the work you are doing in His name!
